Description
The J type thermocouple is another type of thermocouple commonly used for temperature measurement. It is made of two different types of metals, iron and constantan, that are joined together to form a junction.
Like other thermocouples, when the junction is exposed to a temperature difference, a voltage is generated across the junction, which can be measured and used to determine the temperature. The J type thermocouple has a temperature range of approximately -210°C to 1200°C and is commonly used in low to medium temperature applications.
One of the advantages of the J type thermocouple is its high sensitivity, which allows for accurate temperature measurement even in small temperature differentials. It also has good accuracy and stability over its temperature range, making it a popular choice for many industrial and scientific applications.
